8. Sick Leave:

Employees and workers have the right to request a sick leave for better recovery. In Moldova, there is no specific number of days to apply for a sick leave. 9. Maternal and Paternal Leaves

A pregnant working lady is entitled 70 days of leave, according to  the estimated date of birth. The leave can be expanded to 112 days. In the public sector, there can be an additional 56 days after giving birth. Childcare leave is also entitled and paid if it doesn’t exceed one week. The same applies to paternal leave. Working fathers are entitled to 14 days paid paternity leave to a new born. To request more than 14 days, the father should provide a birth certificate and court document in case of being a single parent.
